In the recent OSIM 2007 ITU Triathlon Asian Cup held in Hong Kong, Kimbeley Yap was 7th out of the water (out of 23 swim finishers) in 21:22, 32 secs down on the top swimmer Mariko Adachi from Japan, but 24 secs ahead of eventual winner Saori Ohmatsu, also from Japan.
Kimbeley was the only Malaysian in either of the Elite categories, and unfortunately was a DNF for this race.
